Passion for watches

On June 2023, the Lublin Conference Centre had the pleasure of hosting the “PASSION FOR WATCHES – Antoni N. Patek” event, which celebrated the 211th anniversary of Antoni Patek’s birth. As a tribute to this locally born, world-renowned watchmaker, the S2 Room in our centre was officially named after him. Guests from the Lublin region and across Poland gathered to join the event.

The two-day conference agenda was packed with lectures, discussion panels, and workshops. Professors from the Warsaw University of Technology and collectors from the Watch and Clock Enthusiasts Club shared their expertise during the lectures. On the first day, a special panel for young people was organized, featuring talks on clock construction, counterfeiting, industrial design, and the history of watchmaking. Throughout the conference, participants had the opportunity to attend exhibitions of both collectible and contemporary watches from various brands. They also gained practical skills in workshops on photography, watchmaking, watchband design, and solar watchmaking.
